
Joseph Castelli's Biography

Joseph Castelli, PT, CSCS, CEAS is a licensed Physical Therapist, NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. He is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook's Physical Therapy program and holds a degree in Finance from St. John's University. He has extensive experience in the areas of manual, orthopaedic, and sports physical therapy, as well as stroke rehabilitation. Joseph has worked with
athletes at all levels of competition, as well as Broadway performing artists and professional dancers.
Joseph has also consulted in the area of ergonomics and work hardening and has vast experience in the field of geriatric home care. Joe was a competitive powerlifter for over ten years and has donated his time to local high schools and collegiate athletes on proper lifting techniques and worked on developing strength and sports specific programs for them. Committed to his professional growth, Joe is currently pursuing his doctorate of science at the University of St. Augustine with a concentration in orthpaedic manual therapy and is currently involved in an outcome study involving the co-activation of the transverse abdominis and lumbar multifidus muscles in the treatment of low back pain. His interests include spinal manipulation, performance training, knee rehabilitation and shoulder injuries with a keen interest in the throwing athlete.
