
Jill Kressley's Biography
Jill Kressley, PT, DPT is originally from Norton, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield College, the birthplace of basketball, in 1991 with a Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy. She spent the first ten years of her career working in PT-owned private practice in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. After that she spent two years working at Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, the home to past winter Olympics. While at Saranac Lake, Jill was the senior PT overseeing outpatient, ambulatory and inpatient therapy needs.
Jill moved to New York City at the end of 2003 and has been with Recovery PT since that time. In 2007, Jill began online courses at Boston University and earned her DPT in June 2009. Continuing education classes have focused on manual therapy techniques, spinal mobilization, and orthopedic therapeutic exercise. Volunteer activities have included back education training to elementary school teachers, speaking at support groups for the Arthritis Foundation and MS society, and volunteering at the Lake Placid half marathon.
Personal experience playing field hockey, basketball and running track. Work experience treating athletes in lacrosse, football, ice hockey, track and soccer. Personal fitness includes aerobics, functional training, jogging and rollerblading.
