Jalark Boghra's Biography

I earned my Bachelor in Physical Therapy from India in March 2007 at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. During the 4 years of my Bachelor program, I was given opportunity to work with real patient population during my clinical posting and rotator internship at hospitals and OPDs. I also got opportunities to enhance my clinical skills by attending workshops like manual therapy and cardiac rehabilitation.

With the special interest in cardiac rehab, I decided to pursue my masters at Adelphi University, Garden City, NY. I landed in the states in August 2007 as an international student to pursue my masters in exercise physiology and sports management at Adelphi University where I was given opportunities to work with GAs (graduate assistants) in their ongoing research work, lab testing and Adult Fitness Program (equivalent to cardiac rehab phase 3). I earned my Masters Degree in Jan 2010. With clinical education and experience, I decided to take NPTE. I cleared NPTE in May 2010.
