Helen Lee's Biography

My name is Helen Hyemin Lee and I grew up in Scarsdale, NY for most of my life. I attended SUNY University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY receiving a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/sports management in 2008. I continued my education in Buffalo attending the graduate school of rehabilitation to pursue my degree in physical therapy.

I graduated in May 2011 with Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the School of Public Health and Health Professions of SUNY Buffalo. I started off PT school with a growing interest in neuroscience and psychology. However, with the exposure of a wide range of specialties during my experience and practice outside the classroom, I gradually obtained a stronger interest in orthopedic and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. I was very encouraged by the patient-therapist relationship and the incredible effort that is executed by both for recovery and progress.

I have had experience with a variety of different caseloads including orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and home care settings. I believe that I have been given the opportunity to share my knowledge and care for those who have been injured, functionally limited, and disabled.
